This installation began as a preoccupation with the ceiling. Exposing the roof structure of a 100 year old house revealed beautiful old growth pine and suggested multiple ceiling planes that might be formed by the rafters themselves. The simple repetition of taut yarn describes complex shell forms whose curves layer on one another in a series of transparent arches overhead.
